Project Talk Trial Host Eligibility
Project Talk hosts aim to address local health disparities in underserved communities. They know the power of collaborating with other US organizations that share in this work.
We are seeking individuals or community organizations who are:
- Knowledgeable about their local community
- Connected to their community through established partnerships
- Experienced in engaging underserved individuals
- Understanding of the unique barriers and hardships that exist in underserved communities
- Committed to finding solutions to help at-risk populations achieve their health care needs and goals
Hosts should be able to:
- Recruit a minimum of 25 underserved attendees (18+ years of age) for the event
- Recruit from underserved populations (such as ethnic and racial minority backgrounds, rural communities, or low-income areas)
- Agree to host an event regardless of the activity tool that was randomly assigned
- Host an event using only project-provided materials (materials available in Spanish)
- Attend four hours of online host training
- Host an event within the project timeline (see FAQ)
- Provide an appropriate person to lead the event
- Provide an appropriate venue for the event
Hosts receive:
- Four hours of virtual training on hosting a Project Talk event
- Tools and resources available in English and Spanish (event toolkits, conversation tool for attendees, research-approved outreach, and publicity materials)
- A $300 stipend to support marketing and event expenses
Eligible individuals and community-based organizations interested in hosting an event are invited to apply.
